My all inspiring Art teacher Ms V Reddy motivated me to pursue my talent in painting and sculpting. She was so impressed with my artwork that she took all my set pieces to have it showcased in a museum.
Back in 1996, I was a part of the art against crime programmed and was commissioned to paint a mural of a community hero on the wall above the police station on Dr Dadoo Yusuf street (Broad Street) Durban. It was a privilege to paint among other talented artists like myself. And now 30 years later, my mural of Obed Mlaba although somewhat faded is still there.
